Brother Eutropius Bollinger, 66, monk of the Cistercian (Trappist) Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia died peacefully on Wednesday June 19, 2013 after a brief illness.

Holy Spirit Monastery has been blessed with three new novices in the past three months. Brother Mario Ignatius (far right) was clothed in late December. Brother Nathanael (far left) was clothed in February, and Brother Emilio Raphael (center) was clothed this last week. Novice Master Brother Elias commented, "We have always been graced with a remarkable spirit in the Novitiate.

Brother William Lockard, 84, monk of the Monastery of the Holy Spirit died peacefully in the monastery infirmary after a long illness. He died on Friday January 25th with his monastic brothers at his side.
Brother Peter Damian Spera professed solemn vows on Jan. 1, 2013, the solemn feast of 'Mary the Mother of God', becoming a fully professed monk of this Cistercian/Trappist community at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit.

On Saturday June 11th, under sunny skies, the monastery's 3rd annual 5K Run and 1-mile Family Run had a great turn out. The race was another success event. It seems to be growing in number of participants and popularity...and that's a good sign. The monastery is grateful for the many new and returning participants from previous runs.

Father Malachy Corley, 99, priest and monk of Monastery of the Holy Spirit died peacefully in the monastery infirmary on Friday May 4th at 3:00AM. with his monastic brothers at his side.
Father Richard J. Donarski OCSO, 87, died in the monastery infirmary on Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was born July 5, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were Joseph J. Donarski and Martha (Klajbor) Donarski. He was baptized at Saint Mary of the Angels Church on North Wood Street in Chicago.
Holy Spirit Monastery celebrated two solemn professions in the months of January and February, 2012. Br. Hugh Vanasse, OCSO made solemn profession January 26, the Feast of the Cistercian Founders, and Br. Cassian Russell, OCSO, on February 29.
On Sunday, February 5, Brother Guillaume-Isaac received the novice habit in a ceremony held in the Holy Spirit Chapter room.
At the feast of Saints Robert, Alberic and Stephen, abbots and founders of the Cistercian Order, Br. Hugh made his solemn profession before the Holy Spirit Community in Conyers, Georgia.
