Retreat Policies
Retreats usually are scheduled for:
• Weekend: Friday after 2 PM through Sunday 1 PM
• Midweek: Monday after 2 PM through Thursday 1 PM
We ask everyone to check-in between 2:00-4:00 PM when coming on retreat; this allows you time to settle in and unwind. The retreat begins with Vespers at 5:20 PM.
In light of frequent late cancellations and no-shows, retreat reservations require a non-refundable $30.00 deposit at booking. The balance of your lodging and meals is due upon arrival. You are most welcome to make an additional donation at the end of your retreat.
We kindly request a donation of $100 to $110 per person per night to cover your time with us; however, a more generous gift helps us welcome retreatants with limited resources. For groups, we are asking $100 per person per night, and we require the group to pay either by one check or one credit card. For groups, payment is required in advance. We accept the following credit cards (Discover, MasterCard, and Visa), as well as personal checks or cash. After you have confirmed your reservation, you may give your deposit by credit card to the Registrar. Reservations should be arranged well in advance.

Guest rooms will be available for check-in after 2:00 PM. Check-out for all guest rooms is 9:00 AM. Special scheduling can be arranged.
The Monastery of the Holy Spirit’s Guest House is a strictly smoke-free environment (guest rooms, conference center, porches, and all grounds). No pets are allowed.
Retreatant’s Schedule
Retreatants’ Daily Schedule for meals and times of prayer to which you are invited:
(Monday thru Saturday)
- 4:00 am Vigils
- 7:00 am Mass with Lauds
- 8:00-8:45 am Breakfast (served immediately after Mass)
- 12:15 pm Sext (midday prayer) followed by Lunch
- 5:20 pm Vespers (Evening Prayer) – Supper following Vespers
- 7:30 Compline (Night Prayers)
- 8:00 pm – Grand Silence
Sunday & Solemnities same as above except:
- 4:00 AM-Vigils
- 6:50 AM-Lauds (Morning Prayer)
- 7:30 AM Community Mass
- 12:15 PM-Midday Prayer
- 5:20 PM-Vespers (Evening Prayer)
- 7:30 PM-Compline (Night Prayer)
